Volunteer Opportunities
Please note, not all opportunities may be available at time of application.
After your application is reviewed, you will be contacted via email by your local library Volunteer Liaison to schedule a screening discussion. The screening is a time for potential volunteers to learn more about the library, the current openings, and what volunteering with us may look like and a good time to ask questions. If an email is not provided, you will be contacted by phone; however, the majority of communication is via email.
There is very limited availability for group, or short-term projects and all volunteering requires some English language skills.
If you have any questions, please take a look at the FAQ first. If your question remains unanswered, feel free to direct them to Volunteer Services at VolunteerServices@DeschutesLibrary.org or 541-617-7056.
Volunteers enrich our library in many ways. They bring enthusiasm, added talent, and a fresh perspective to the library. The countless hours of volunteer service represent not only a tremendous monetary value to our libraries, but an immeasurable value in service to our local and global communities.
