Classes at the Library

The Deschutes Public Library offers free, hands on computer classes on variety of topics. Class size and topics vary based on library facilities and community demand.

In addition to formal classes, the library offers open computer labs where community members can drop in to ask specific technology questions or practice computer skills.

    Introduction to Finding Grants provides an overview of the funding research process for nonprofits seeking grants from foundations, corporations, and grantmaking public charities. Participants will learn tips on how best to identify funding sources for nonprofit organizations.

    This workshop incudes a demonstration of the Foundation Directory, the premiere searchable database that provides information on more than 200,000 grantmakers and over 24 million grant records.
