The Deschutes Public Library offers free, hands on computer classes on variety of topics. Class size and topics vary based
on library facilities and community demand.
In addition to formal classes, the library offers open computer labs where community members can drop in to ask specific
technology questions or practice computer skills.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is offering free tax preparation sessions for Central Oregonians at the Downtown Bend Public Library. Come to the library to learn more about tax credits and have an IRS-Certified Volunteer prepare your taxes. Taxes are prepared online, using IRS certified software and then electronically transmitted to the IRS. Certified tax volunteers will also be available to answer some your tax questions.

Avoid time-consuming and costly mistakes by learning from someone who has "been there, done that." SCORE business counselors will be available from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for free one-on-one small business counseling. Individuals who operate or wish to start small businesses can discuss business planning, organization and start-up, finance, marketing and other critical business issues with SCORE volunteers in private, confidential sessions. No appointment necessary.
SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide. They are a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and have been mentoring small business owners for more than forty years.
