Classes at the Library

The Deschutes Public Library offers free, hands on computer classes on variety of topics. Class size and topics vary based on library facilities and community demand.

In addition to formal classes, the library offers open computer labs where community members can drop in to ask specific technology questions or practice computer skills.

    Deschutes Public Library will host a free workshop on finding funders for nonprofit organizations.

    Introduction to Finding Grants will provide an overview of the funding research process for nonprofits seeking grants from foundations, corporations, and grantmaking public charities. Participants will learn tips on how best to identify funding sources for nonprofit organizations, highlighting the electronic and print resources available for free at Deschutes Public Library. This workshop will include a demonstration of Foundation Directory Online, Foundation Center’s premiere searchable database that provides information on more than 140,000 grantmakers and over 5 million grant records. Registration is limited and registration is recommended.
