This is an in-person program. Registration is required.

Come to Arome and meet a local star from our Redmond City Council! Councilor, Clifford Evelyn, will join us in preparation of a fall meal that can be enjoyed year-round. Alex and Clifford will work side by side to entertain your senses and create some smiles in the process.

Alex Schultz is the Retail Store Manager of Arome here in Redmond. He is a gourmet food enthusiast who graduated from California State Polytechnic University of Pomona with a BS degree in Hospitality Management. Alex managed restaurants and kitchens for over 26 years where he learned many cultural food techniques and recipes. He enjoys learning and sharing his passion for food with everyone.

Clifford Evelyn was born and raised in New York City. After graduating from George Washington High School he attended New York University for Business Administration and later attended L.A. Trade Tech College where he studied Business Management. In 1977, he enrolled in the U.S. Navy and attended U.S. Naval Management School located in Algiers, LA, and received certification. In 1989, Clifford was hired by the Clark County Sheriff's Office in Vancouver, Washington. He attended the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission Correctional Academy, was selected as the class president, and received certification. Clifford was promoted up through the Chain of Command at the Sheriff's Office to the position of Commander in 1998. His occupational background includes Sheriff's Commander, Sheriff's Office Commanders Guild Organizer and Secretary, Sheriff's Office Lieutenant, and Sheriff's Office Training Sergeant. In 2007, Clifford was nominated and awarded the first ever Cultural Diversity Award from the Clark County Board of County Commissioners for encouraging and supporting through actions cultural diversity (inclusiveness) within the county's working environment. He and his wife Lynnelle Evelyn have 6 children and 10 grandchildren.
