Discover new editing techniques by reading your work aloud.

This is an online program. Registration is required. Registered participants will receive the Zoom link to join the program.

This class is designed for writers of all genres who want to hone their editing skills and find musicality in their work. By reading excerpts of our writing aloud, we'll develop a set of techniques to use when working on early edits, as well as proofreading. Students are asked to bring a nearly-complete piece, and will leave with a clear plan for polishing it into a final draft.

Once you register for this course you will be sent a link to a google drive folder where you can upload the piece you'd like workshopped by Tuesday, October 17th at 9 pm PT. This will allow us to compile them into a digital folder, so we can read your work in advance and review the text as a group.

Grace Bialecki is a performance poet, novelist, and workshop facilitator who teaches for The Bridge and Hugo House. Her work has appeared in various publications including Catapult, Barrelhouse, and Epiphany Magazine where she was a monthly columnist. She has performed her poetry at the KGB Bar, Salmagundi Club, and been a featured poet at Paris Lit Up. Grace is the co-founder of the storytelling series Thirst, and the author of the novel Purple Gold.
