About the Instructor: Rainbow Dreamer is a visionary healer, artist, teacher, and new father. He founded Wildheart Nature School in 2011, where he nurtures and enlightens young minds with care and joy. Alongside his teaching role, Dreamer has delved into the art of brain tanning and other ancestral skills. While his expertise lies in deer skin, he has worked with a variety of animals such as elk, beaver, raccoon, squirrel, otter, fish, snake, buffalo, and bear. Beyond tanning and crafting sacred items, Dreamer immerses himself in the woods, studying animal tracking and honing his connection with nature. Recently, he has discovered a passion for ultra-marathons and paddle boarding. Dreamer holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Prescott College, specializing in Medical Anthropology and Environmental Studies. His natural aptitude for working with young people instills in them an appreciation for the natural world, fostering excitement and curiosity. Certified by the IAKP for Kambo Ceremonies and by the American Heart Association in Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED, Dreamer ensures a safe and professional environment.

Wildheart Nature School offers transformational experiences in the beautiful wild lands of Central Oregon. These experiences include camps, classes, and events for all ages. At Wildheart, we believe that every adventure into the woods is an exercise in imagination and opens the door for a compelling story to be woven. We transform the experience of being outdoors into an opportunity for learning through observation, artistic expression, and active imagination. By asking the right questions at the right moments, we teach our students how to engage the miraculous world of nature around them and to engage deeply with the mystery that is life on planet earth. While we teach factual information about the environment in our school, we also emphasize the importance of opening the senses and feeling the aliveness of each present moment amidst the wind, trees, birds, river, ants, and soil. Topics include nature arts & crafts, sensory awareness, primitive skills, survival skills, tracking, ecology, community building, plant identification, leadership building, and nature alchemy.
