Learn about the work Project Recover is doing to locate MIAs around the globe.
This is an in-person program.
Masks are optional at all in-person library events.
Project Recover is a non-profit that has been in existence for close to three decades. Their mission is to search for, locate, and repatriate Americans missing in action (MIA) from our Nation's conflicts. Learn more about all that goes into this interdisciplinary humanitarian mission that is taking place right here in Central Oregon.
Derek Abbey, Ph.D. is Project Recover's President and CEO. He served for 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. His academic research and his post-military career have focused on connecting veterans with college opportunities, He began as Project Recover team member in 2004 and spent five years on the Board of Directors before being appointed as President/CEO.
