Start with classroom instruction followed by optional 45 min walk outside. This is an in-person program.
Masks are recommended at all in-person library events.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Come learn and experience Nordic Walking!
- The session begins with a classroom orientation where you will learn how to improve posture, stabilization and activation of the core and posture muscles as you feel how to walk with power and purpose.
- Join the optional 45 minute Nordic Walk outside with the instructor on nearby paved trails in Drake Park. A small amount of poles will be provided for attendees to use, but feel free to bring your own hiking poles.INSTRUCTOR BIO - Monica McClain-Smith:
