ONLINE ONLY: Writers Writing - Picture Poem Collection

Description
Learn a new way to write a poem about memories.

This is a live, interactive meeting via Zoom. Registration required. Limit one kit per customer. Registration closes Saturday, January 8th. Kits will be delivered to your preferred library location and registered patrons will receive a Zoom link to participate in the live meeting to complete the craft together as a group.

Create a poem from one of your existing favorite photos or step outside and take a new photo. Discover a variety of poetry and photography resources

Write a descriptive poem about your photo. What do you see? What do you remember? Describe the day, moment and experience.
Use the words expression, create or outside in your poem.

Grab and Go Kit:
Register for a program kit including two Polaroid photos, poetry resources, writing prompts and a journal. Registration closes January 8.


Paige Bentley-Flannery is a Community Librarian with Deschutes Public Library. Her book shelves are overflowing with poetry and art for all ages. She is always immersed in new memoirs and discovering new book club books. She enjoys reading with a hot chocolate and a pile of new books.
