Downtown Bend: Know Celebrate - Bend Cello Collective Performance

Monday, December 20, 2021
5:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Description
Masks are required at all in-person events.

Enjoy the sounds of the holidays with this performance by the Bend Cello Collective.

The Bend Cello Collective (BCC) sprang into existence in 2013 from the brain of cellist, Travis Allen.

BCC is composed of a varying number of Bend-area friends who bring their cellos with them while they hang out together. BCC plays music that spans nearly 300 years of composing and from as many genres as they can get their grubby hands on, from baroque to bossa nova and beyond. BCC performs in groups of 2-8 cellos.

BCC cellists are all members of the Central Oregon Symphony and the performing quartet include Doctor Professor Travis (T-Bone Overbow) Allen, Janet (J Train!) Gesme, Josh (Señor Potty Mouth) Evans, and Emma (Iron Maiden) Chaput.

Mostly the BCC exists so that these musicians can talk about Bach and Lady Gaga in the same sentence.
