ONLINE ONLY:Writers Writing - The Animating Force of Play (Don't Try to Write)

Sunday, November 14, 2021
9:30 AM to 11:30 AM
Description
This is a live, interactive workshop. A Zoom link will be sent to participants one day before the workshop. Registration closes at that time.

Step aside, cut loose and give your imagination breathing room!

Let us not cut off the head of our innate, creative powers. Preoccupations like Is this any good? Will they like it? Does my writing stink? are bona fide killers. So is lack of trust in imagination, a cosmic force that loves spontaneity and risk. Today, we'll follow threads of memory, allow vivid associations, and feel the aliveness that adventurous play engenders.

Spontaneity exercises that strengthen images and language will be used.

All levels of experience welcomed!

Krayna Castelbaum, dedicated Poetry Instigator, honors the creative impulse though poetry and the monthly Poetry Playshops she facilitates in Central Oregon. Sources of inspiration include people she serves as a transformational coach, dogs, trees, dreams and mundane objects. Ironic humor, friendship and bird watching sustain her. At present, Krayna is writing a collection of poems based on characters from The Sopranos. Learn more: krayna@clearlenscoaching.com
