Community Librarian Roxanne M. Renteria has worked for Deschutes Public Library since 2014, and serves the La Pine Library area. As the child of two librarians, she grew up in her local public library - sneakily taking candy from the reference desk drawer, and ensuring VHS tapes were rewound for the next customer. Roxanne began volunteering in her teens, and has worked a variety of jobs in academic and public libraries across a handful of states. She wears many hats as a rural librarian, but her favorite duties are story time, outreach and program planning. She spends her free time tackling new DIY projects.
