Learn the very basics of footwork and upper body movements in this beginner's class.

In this beginning Tai Chi class with Master JianFeng Chen, he will guide you through the very basics of footwork and upper body movements that help with energy movement and balance using the popular 8 and 24 Yang Style. These foundations are also beneficial for practicing mindfulness in our everyday movements and are beneficial for overall health.

Tai Chi can be practiced anytime and anywhere, however, prepare a space for sitting and standing (with a little space for movement) as well as loose, comfortable clothes. Unless you have a medical condition that requires specific footwear, it is optimal to where flat soled shoes, but adjust your footwear to make sure the surface is not too slippery.

Your instructor, Master JianFeng Chen, has over 30 years of martial arts experience and over 25 years teaching. He was selected by the Fujian State Athletic Wushu Unit (internationally known for Tai Chi World Champions) at the age of 11 to train and compete professionally in Wushu (Kungfu) and Tai Chi for the Fujian province where he learned from Grand Masters and World Champions and attained eleven gold medals and numerous silver and bronze medal. He currently has a school, Oregon Tai Chi Wushu in Bend, Oregon and an online school, Dao Universe to share his teaching throughout the world.
