Shireen Amini is a singer-songwriter based in Bend, Oregon who believes in music as medicine. In addition to her background in ethnomusicology, Afro-Latin percussion, drum circle facilitation, and sound healing, Shireen has been the front-woman for over 7 years of the Latin dance rock band ¡Chiringa! and has spent the last two years returning to her solo singer-songwriter roots, cultivating a rich repertoire of hip, conscious-themed, singalong-style songs often performed in a live looping format. This groove-based world-soul-pop energizes the stories she tells boldly, playfully, and passionately of her personal healing journey and visions for a better world. Her Conscious Acoustic Soul with World Grooves is a musical blend that invites imagining Gloria Estefan meets Nahko & Medicine for the People.
