Get tips and tricks for bird watching at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
Birding the vast expanse of Harney County's 10,000+ sq. miles can exhilarating and yes, a bit daunting. Which birds are where? and when? This presentation showcases an approach to taking advantage of particular birding "routes" that cover the diverse landscape. Discover an array of birds and other wildlife throughout the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge and beyond. Enjoy stunning photography by Friends of Malheur NWR Volunteer Dan Streiffert along with tips and tricks for seeing particular species at different times of the day or throughout the year.
Dan Streiffert is volunteer with the Friends of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. He a retired Software Engineer who worked in the economic operation of power systems. He now spends as much time as possible photographing wildlife.
