Description
What does violent crime tell us about our past and present?
Author and criminal historian JD Chandler will discuss the study of murder and history. He will emphasize the historic role of murder in Oregon's past, including famous murders in Portland and Central Oregon.
JD Chandler is a writer living and working in Portland, Oregon. He has published four books of Portland history and written several novels and short stories. His non-fiction titles include "Murder and Mayhem in Portland, OR," "Hidden History of Portland," "Portland on the Take," and "Murder and Scandal in Portland, OR." His latest fiction, "The Werewolf of Portland," can be read on-line at www.werewolfofportland.blogspot.com. A new book, "JD Chandler's Portland Rogues Gallery: A Baker's Dozen Arresting Criminals from Portland's Past" is due out in 2020.
