Downtown Bend: Second Sunday - Murder at the Speakeasy with OSU MFA Students

Sunday, June 11, 2017
2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
Location
Downtown Bend Library
Brooks Room
Description
It's 1928. Prohibition is in its eighth year, and the country is drunk on jazz, dancing, movies, wealth and excess. But in a speakeasy in New York, a mysterious death has brought the frivolity to a halt as its eccentric patrons, who are also students in the OSU-Cascades low-residency Master of Fine Arts creative writing program, try to solve this murder mystery.

They need your help. Join them on June 11 from 2-4 p.m. at the Downtown Bend Library as they point fingers and offer alibis and "hai-clues." Sharpen your detective skills because they'll be looking to you to ultimately decide who did it. Free hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Costumes from the 1920s are encouraged but not required
