Classes at the Library

The Deschutes Public Library offers free, hands on computer classes on variety of topics. Class size and topics vary based on library facilities and community demand.

In addition to formal classes, the library offers open computer labs where community members can drop in to ask specific technology questions or practice computer skills.

    Learning circles are free, peer-led study groups for learners who want to take online courses together in a public space. This circle will follow the Drawing for the Absolute Beginner class offered through Gale Courses, an online learning platform accessed with your library card.

    Two lectures are posted each week with suggested assignments. Learning circle participants will meet virtually via Zoom conference once a week to discuss the lectures and share insights and feedback on the assignments.

Individuals who operate or wish to start small businesses can discuss business planning, organization and start-up, finance, marketing and other critical business issues with SCORE volunteers in private, confidential sessions.
