The wait is over. You can now check out and read library eBooks on your Amazon Kindle through the Deschutes Public Library. Library eBooks are compatible with all versions of the Kindle and can even be read using the free Kindle apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android as well as other mobile devices and electronic readers such as Sony’s Reader and Barnes & Noble’s Nook.
To check out eBooks from the library’s Digital Downloads for Kindle:
· Visit the Digital Downloads site.
· Find an eBook you’re interested in, and be sure to check out the Kindle Book rather than the EPUB or PDF version.
· Click the ‘Get for Kindle’ button. This will open the Amazon.com website.
· Select a Kindle device or Kindle reading app. Click the ‘Get library book’ button and sync your device or app to download the book, or choose to send it to your device via USB.
