The Deschutes Public Library is pleased to present a presentation by COCC Geography professor Mick McCann called “The Natural Environments of South America”. Professor McCann will be giving an overview of the scenic wonders of this fascinating continent, highlighting the physical environments. He will be showing his own pictures as well as graphs and other images that he has collected from teaching classes on the region. The presentation will take place on Sunday, September 18^th at 1:00 p.m. at the La Pine Public Library. This event is free and open to the public.

Mick McCann is an instructor of Geography at COCC, where he has taught 15 different courses. Previously, he was a sea kayak guide in Southeast Alaska for 10 years, has lived in Mexico and travelled to 30 foreign countries, 11 of which are in Latin America. He also taught Spanish for the Bend La-Pine schools for 2 years.
