The Deschutes Public Library is very fortunate to have Friends organizations throughout Deschutes County who support our local libraries in Downtown Bend, East Bend, La Pine, Redmond, Sisters, and Sunriver through regularly scheduled book sales. Summer is the perfect time to become a member of your local Friends of the Library organization and get early privileges to the book sales. It’s also a fun way to meet a great group of people who love and support libraries

Mark your calendars for some great book sales this summer:

The La Pine Friends annual book sale is scheduled for Saturday, July 2, 10:00 - 4:00 and Sunday, July 3, 10:00 - 4:00. The Friends of the La Pine Library’s Book Nook will be open every week in the summer on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Friends of the Bend Libraries Summer Book Sale is July 4th from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. and July 5 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  in the basement of the Library Administration Building (next door to the Downtown Bend Library).

Friends of the Redmond Library’s bookstore is open daily in the summer. Come by for some great deals.

Friends of the Sisters Library Book Sale is scheduled for Saturday, July 9 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The Friends of the Sisters Library Special Used Book Sale is held at the Friends Book Corner located at the North West corner of the Sisters Library. The Sisters Public Library will be open Saturday, July 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the 36th Annual Outdoor Quilt Show.
