Deschutes Public Library is pleased to host Keep It Local – Volunteer Expo at the Sunriver Area Public Library on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.  If you are looking for a new opportunity to serve your community, you don’t want to miss the “Keep It Local – Volunteer Expo.” More than 10 local agencies will be on-hand to answer questions about volunteer opportunities in the southern region of Deschutes County.

“Deschutes Public Library hopes interested citizens will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn about volunteer opportunities in Sunriver and La Pine and the invaluable services that organizations provide in our community,” said Library Volunteer Coordinator Kate McCormick.  “As budgets tighten and people identify alternative ways to contribute to worthy causes, we find many citizens are looking to donate their time instead of dollars.”
