Brian Doyle
The Deschutes Public Library is proud to present author Brian Doyle at the Downtown Bend Public Library on Friday, March 11, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. The acclaimed Portland writer promises “a hilarious afternoon of storytelling and Irish blarney.” This event is free and open to the public.

Portland author Brian Doyle has earned a reputation for his descriptive essays on nature, colorful observations of people, and love of all things Irish. He is the author of numerous essays and ten books. He released his first fiction book in the Fall 2010, Mink River, which weaves together the stories of dozens of characters written in Doyle’s unique humorous style. Doyle calls Mink River “a song of Oregon, another chance at connection.”   He is also the editor of Portland Magazine, published by the University of Portland, which according to Newsweek, is “the best spiritual magazine in the country.”
