Cabin Fever? The Cure is at the Deschutes Public Library

As temperatures start to dip, make plans now to get out of the house (or cabin), and learn somthing new at your local library. All through the month of November, the Deschutes Public Library is presenting a series of programs designed to enhance the winter season. Whether you are looking for an activity outside or inside, your local library has something for everyone. All programs are free and open to the public.

* Comfort Food by Chef Rose:

November 6th, 6:30 p.m.

Redmond Public Library
November 19th, 6:30 p.m.
Chef Rose of 12 O'clock Tart demonstrates how to prepare a comforting meal on a cold day. Limited to 30 participants each. Sign up at www.dpls.us/calendar.

*Beading 101:
La Pine Public Library

*Cross-Country Skiing in Central Oregon:

Linda Frost of the Central Oregon Nordic Club will discuss trails, equipment, and everything to get you started.

*Hunting Deer on Public Lands
La Pine Public Library
November 13th, 6:00 p.m.
Local author and outdoor expert, Gary Lewis, shares his knowledge about hunting on public lands.

*Living History Presentations: Sponsored by the High Deser Museum:
Dr. Banastre's Swamp Root Cure and Blood and Spirit Renovator.
Sisters Public Library
November 1st, 2:00 p.m.

Accident at Snake Crossing: Overland Medicine of the First Pioneers.
