Joan McFadden of Sundown Catering presents The Second Time Around: Tempting Treatments For Holiday Leftovers at the Sisters Public Library on Monday, November 17th at 6:00 p.m.
Turkey sandwich? Turkey soup? Turkey hash? What’s your favorite way to finish up the leftovers? McFadden, who moved to Central Oregon five years ago and started Sundown Catering, says “Inevitable leftovers need not be boring and tasteless.” In fact, continues McFadden “properly prepared, they are the basis for many flavorful dishes.” Certainly, leftovers promise more of the very things you couldn't get enough of at lasts night’s dinner!
McFadden will offer recipes for turkey salad, wild rice with turkey with toasted hazelnuts and a ginger tamari dressing and a grilled turkey sandwich and a salad, wild rice with toasted hazelnuts and a ginger dressed turkey sandwich.
