Take A Trip With Local Guide Hilloah

Growing up skiing and hiking the mountains around Seattle, Hilloah Rohr was on skis from the time she could walk and making technical climbs in her early teens. Pursuing her love for the mountains has taken Hilloah Rohr around the world. But over and over again she returns to the majesty and magnificence of the Alps. Find out why the Alps are so special on Sunday, January 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bend Public Library and on Sunday, January 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sunriver Area Public Library, when Rohr shares her adventures abroad in a presentation titled, “The Magic of Monte Bianco.” Both programs are free and open to the public.

Exercise Physiologist & Alpine Guide, Rohr’s presentation features all new images of both regional and national French and Italian parks. A firm believer in exploring the less trodden paths, each year Rohr leads small groups of hikers, of every ability level, on an unusual journey most visitors never experience. Rohr explains that “the deeply rooted culture that goes back so many generations, the smiling warm mountain people and the stunning Alps” are what keeps her coming back. While there, Rohr and her hikers enjoy the local food, cultures and seeing the Alps from a different perspective. She says her tours offer adventurous travels the opportunity of “getting away from commercialization and diving deeply into the European culture and pristine villages and mountains.
