Growing up skiing and hiking the mountains around Seattle, Hilloah Rohr was on skis from the time she could walk and making technical climbs in her early teens. Pursuing her love for the mountains has taken Hilloah Rohr around the world. But over and over again she returns to the majesty and magnificence of the Alps. Find out why the Alps are so special on Sunday, December 12 at 2:00 p.m. when Rohr shares her adventures at the Sunriver Area Public Library. This program is free and open to the public.
Exercise Physiologist & Alpine Guide, Rohr will feature slides of hiking and Nordic skiing in the French and Italian Alps, including dramatic images of parasailing in the Chartreuse Provence and Barcelona. The slide composite with feature both the regional and national French and Italian parks where Rohr guides small groups each year. A firm believer in exploring the less trodden paths, Rohr will leads hikers of every ability level on an unusual journey most visitors never experience, enjoying the local food, cultures and people.
