Dawnya Sasse of Tea Events invites you to “A Cup of Holiday Tea,” at the Sunriver Area Public Library on December 11th at 6:00 p.m.
“Taking time to communicate in an intimate setting with a friend is what the holiday spirit is all about,” says Sasse, who opened Tea Events, a special events tea house in 2000. During the program Sasse will be discussing the age-old custom of afternoon tea and how to plan an easy holiday gathering that celebrates friendships, seasonal foods and high quality tea.
Sasse first attended Tea School Training in Cape Cod in 1997. Since then she has pursued additional tea training through the Specialty Tea Institute and Pearl Dexter of A Tea Magazine and is also the author of the first online tea training course called “How To Start A Tea Business. Sasse opened Tea Events in 2000. The teahouse specializes in unique teatime events and themed parties. Sasse says her holiday events are always special and include “live entertainment, multi course meals and historical costumes.” This season’s holiday tea is “A Bootlegger’s Roaring 20’s Christmas Tea. Other popular events at Sasse’s teahouse include the Titanic Tea, Lavendar & Lace and the Old Radio Mystery Tea.
Take an hour during the hectic holiday season to enjoy a cup of holiday tea and to plan a tea tradition. These programs are free and open to the public. For more information, call 312-1032.
