Celebrate the Third Anniversary of Second Sunday with Local Writer Judy Montgomery

Come celebrate the third anniversary of Second Sunday with acclaimed local writer and poet Judy Montgomery. This month's Second Sunday will take place Sunday, September 9th, at 3:00 pm in the Brooks Room of the Bend Public Library. An open mic will follow the guest reader and celebratory cake will be served.

Judy Montgomery is a Bend-based writer whose poems have appeared in "The Southern Review", "The Bellingham Review", "Gulf Coast", and "Northwest Review", as well as several anthologies, including the forthcoming "White Ink", about mother-child bonds. Her essay "Becoming Shiver-Man" will appear in a new anthology, "Poem, Revised", on the process of revision. Her chapbook, "Passion", received the 2000 Oregon Book Award for Poetry. Her first full-length collection "Red Jess", appeared in February, 2006, and her new chapbook "Pulse and Constellation", just appeared from Finishing Line Press. She was also the poet-in-residence at Central Oregon Community College from 2005 until 2006.
