August Second Sunday Hosts Poet Eleanor Berry

Join poet Eleanor Berry as she reads from her work at the monthly Second Sunday program in the Brooks Room at the Bend Public Library. This month's celebration of the written word will take place Sunday, August 12th at 3:00 p.m. An open mic will follow the guest speaker.
Eleanor Berry lives in rural Lyons, and since 2002 has coordinated the Second Sunday Series of Poetry Readings in Stayton. She also currently chairs the annual Stevens Poetry Manuscript Competition conducted by the National Federation of State Poetry Societies.
Her recent publications include a book of poems titled "Green November". Her poems have also been published in anthologies, journals, and literary magazines, including "CALYX", "Comstock Review", "Crab Orchard Review", "Dogwood", "Nimrod", "Spoon River Poetry Review", "Windfall", and "Reading the Middle Generation Anew" (University of Iowa Press, 2006). She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Toronto and has taught literature and writing at colleges and universities in Milwaukee, WI, and at Willamette University.
