Deschutes Public Library is pleased to welcome Lara Romeo, L.Ac. and Charlene Lincoln, L.Ac. of Central Oregon Acupuncture Clinic for a program titled “New Solutions To Allergies,” at the Bend Public Library on Saturday, May 6 4 at 11:00 a.m. This program is free and open to the public.
Romeo, who earned her B.S. in Public Health from Montana State University in 1987, studied Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine. She successfully treats a wide variety of ailments, including pain, menopausal symptoms and allergies. “I show people how to regain energy and vitality.” Romeo says that the current healthcare system could be adversely affecting many people. “The drug industry spends 12 billion dollars each year telling us how healthy their drugs are for us, but may studies indicate differently, says Romeo.
With allergy season just around the corner this is a vital lecture for anyone affected by annoying allergies. According to Romeo, people are desperate to find relief from the symptoms of allergies. “Over-the-counter medications only help mask the problem and have many undesirable side effects,” says Romeo. Lincoln and Romeo will present information on how allergies can be controlled using alternatives to shots or medicines. Romeo asserts that “allergies are the 6th leading cause of chronic disease in the U.S,” but believes that there are alternatives to just having to “live with them.”
