On Thursday, February 26, at 6:30 p.m. in the Brooks Room of the Bend Public Library, Josh Anderson of Movietyme Video highlights “The Most Romantic Movies Ever.” His presentation concludes the “Love at the Library” series. This program is free and open to the public.
“I don’t like the term chick flick,” says Anderson “and I can tell you first hand that men rent just as many romantic films as women. They just don’t want YOU to know that!” Andserson, who has worked at Movietyme for three years says “for a great romantic movie, you need characters that you connect with. You have to be able to feel their pain, their joy and their love.” He says that people are drawn to romantic movies because watching a character they identify with fall in love and find happiness is satisfying and enjoyable. Anderson’s favorite romantic movie is “When Harry Met Sally” starring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan. “It makes me laugh! And it features two very different people who end up being everything to each other.” What could be more romantic than that? Anderson will show clips from some of the most romantic movies of all time.
