The Gift of Love: Must Be Present To Win

On Thursday, February 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the Library Admin Conference Room (507 NW Wall), D'Arcy Swanson, MC, NCC, presents “The Gift of Love: Must Be Present To Win.” His presentation is part of the “Love at the Library” series at the Deschutes Public Library throughout the month of February. The program is free and open to the public.
“Love is a gift,” says Swanson, who is a counselor with Three Rivers Center for Relationships. “And people want to know how to get and give more.” “The ins and outs of love beget and beguile us all,” says Swanson. He says that some of the pitfalls of relationships include trying to be right, keeping a scorecard and not making enough time for each other. However, Swanson points out that simple things like curious listening, sincere appreciation, high-energy fun and time can keep a relationship moving forward. During his presentation, he’ll look deeper into the mysteries of the wonderful world of love and send participants home with some practical tips on keeping healthy and happy. However, Swanson “It’s going to be a fun filled evening all about love,” continues Swanson.
