“Hey! Let’s Work It Out: Tips for Conflict Resolution in Your Life,” will be presented on Thursday, November 13 at 4:30 p.m.in the Library Admin Conference Room at 507 NW Wall by the Community Dispute Resolution Program. If conflict resolution has never been your forte don’t miss this opportunity to develop skills to resolve the conflicts in your life.
It is 2:00 a.m. and your neighbor’s dog is barking again! You listen to the endless yapping and watch the clock tick. You know you have to do something but are not sure how to approach your neighbor about his insomniac canine. CDRP is a tri-county program that provides alternative dispute resolution service and education on conflict management to the citizens of Central Oregon. According to Pat Minney, outreach coordinator of CDRP, “Anybody and everybody can benefit from mediation. Neighborhood problems, family relations, even problems in the workplace can be resolved through the mediation process.” The group offers mediation, facilitation and training to individuals and organizations. “Anyone can call and request our mediation services,” continues Minney.
The library presentation will include discussion and activities. This program is free and open to the public. For more information about this or other library programs, please call 312-1032.
