Jennifer Cochrane, M.S. , Lac presents "Acupuncture: Old Method, New Uses at the Bend Public Library on Saturday, February 22nd at 2:00 in the Brooks Room.
“Acupuncture is NOT voodoo,” states Cochrane. “In fact, it can successfully treat many conditions for which you would visit a doctor.” Cochrane, who studied Pre Med at OSU and received her Masters from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, credits the lack of information about acupuncture for all the misconceptions she encounters. “Does it hurt?” is just one of the many questions about acupuncture that she encounters daily. According to Cochrane, the sensation of acupuncture depends on the condition of your ailment and also on your own body reaction. “Everyone experiences acupuncture in a different way. I’ve even had people fall asleep during treatments,” states Cochrane.
