(January 30, 2006) Try a new twist on an old library favorite on Tuesday, February 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the LaPine Public Library. Café Libri Lite is an opportunity to enjoy the library in a new way. This program is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.
Café Libri Lite is a revamping of the monthly gathering hosted around the library district that was created to provide a place to meet and mingle and enjoy food and friends in a casual environment. Instead of being an evening program, the February event aims to serve patrons who use the library during the day.
At the February event patrons who check out any library item will receive a ticket good for one 16 oz latte, mocha or coffee from the Moo Van. Tony and Tina, owners and operators of the Moo Van will be on hand to redeem tickets.
According to branch manager Sandy Irwin, “Cafe Libri Lite is a great way to not only meet with friends, but also an opportunity to discover all of our wonderful resources.” After redeeming their coffee ticket, patrons can savor their beverage, and enjoy the library. Irwin concludes, “The La Pine Library serves as a community center for people of all ages and Café Libri Lite is just another opportunity for the library to bring people together.”
