Shake off the winter doldrums and create a spring basket center piece at the LaPine Public Library on Friday, March 3 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Tika Weeks, owner of Alari Artistry leads the workshop. The workshop is free but registration is required and limited to the first 15 people. Call 312-1032 or stop by the LaPine Public Library to make reservations.

The workshop in March is the second of a series of workshops at all branch libraries. Led by Weeks, participants will have the opportunity to learn a new skill while creating something beautiful. During the March workshop, participants will create a seasonal center piece using simple techniques.

Four years ago, Weeks put her love of all things crafty to the test and opened Alari Artistry. She offers a variety of craft instruction for all ages, including yarn crafts, card making, drawing and jewelry making. Participants in the class need not be craft experts. Upcoming craft workshops at the libraries include, decorating a terra cotta flower pot, making a picture frame, and creating a Mother’s Day scrapbook.

For more information about this class or to register please call 312-1032.
