Create a personalized frame for Dad a craft workshop at the Redmond Public Library on Friday, June 9, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Tika Weeks, owner of Alari Artistry leads the workshop. The workshop is free but registration is required and limited to the first 15 people. Call 312-1032 to make reservations.
The workshop in June is the last installment of a workshops series at all branch libraries. After a summer break, the workshops will resume in the fall. Led by Weeks, participants will have the opportunity to learn a new skill while creating something beautiful. “Using embellishments, participants will create a unique and memorable gift,” Weeks says. She says that dads love personalized gifts and participants can give the frame as a token of appreciation for the special dad in their lives. “And of course, participants can always keep their creation instead of using it as a gift!”
Four years ago, Weeks put her love of all things crafty to the test and opened Alari Artistry. She offers a variety of craft instruction for all ages, including yarn crafts, card making, drawing and jewelry making. Participants in the class need not be craft experts. Upcoming craft workshops at the libraries include making a picture frame Father’s Day.
For more information about this class or to register please call 312-1032.
