Journey to the French and Italian Alps with local guide Hilloah Rohr Sunday, November 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Redmond Public Library. This program is free and open to the public.
Growing up skiing and hiking the mountains around Seattle, Hilloah was making technical climbs in her early teens. Pursuing her love for the mountains has taken Hilloah Rohr around the world. But over and over again she returns to the majesty and magnificence of the Alps. Exercise Physiologist & Alpine Guide, Rohr will feature slides of hiking and Nordic skiing in the French and Italian Alps, including dramatic images of parasailing in the Chartreuse and riding the tele-cabine at 13,000 feet above Chamonix. The slide composite with feature both the regional and national French and Italian parks where Rohr guides small groups each year. A firm believer in exploring the less trodden paths, Rohr will leads hikers of every ability level on an unusual journey most visitors never experience, enjoying the local food, cultures and people.
