Find out how to eat well and enjoy your food at Wellness Wednesday on July 9th at 6:00 p.m. at the LaPine Public Library with Stacy Sharlet, DC.

“Healthy eating is not complicated nor does it have to taste bad,” says Sharlet. Dr. Sharlet, who has been in private practice in Bend since 1998, is a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic and holds additional certification from the International College of Applied Kinesiology. She treats patients for various conditions, including allergies, chronic pain and the symptoms of menopause.

“Eating well provides the body with the necessary nutrients it needs in order not only to stay healthy but also to heal,” says Sharlet. With the popularity and ease of fast foods, Dr. Sharlet acknowledges that the American love affair with junk food is not a healthy one. “It may be cheap and easy, but it will cost you in the end with an increase of health problems.” In addition to giving up fast food, Dr. Sharlet suggests eliminating sugar from the diet.

Wellness Wednesday is a monthly series focused on good health. Each month, Dr. Sharlet will address a different health related topic at libraries throughout the district. For a complete list of the series topics, please call 312-1032. Wellness Wednesday is free and open to the public.
