Want to get the most out of the food you eat? Join Dr. Janice Blumer, D.O. at the Redmond Public Library on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. for “Food As Medicine,” and discover how some eating habits may contribute to better health.
“Simple changes in your diet can make huge changes in your life,” states Dr. Blumer of Vital Link Osteopathic Heath Center in Redmond. “The food we eat can help heal conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, insomnia, diabetes, depression, and menopause,” continues Blummer. During her presentation, Dr. Blumer will discuss the use of amino acids, phytoestrogens, antioxidants, essential fatty acids and vitamins.
Dr. Blumer holds a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. “Osteopathy treats the entire person rather than simply treating symptoms,” says Blumer. Before moving to Central Oregon seven years ago, she competed her residency training in family practice at Case Western Reserve/ University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH. She also holds a degree in homeopathy from the British Institute of Homeopathy.
