The public is invited to attend “Debunking Persistent Food Myths” a presentation by Julie Hood on Monday, October 21st at 6:00pm in the Brooks Room at the Bend Library.

High protein? Low carb? Low fat? Supplements? If you are unable to weed through current trends in diet and nutrition, you are not alone. “Nutrition can be confusing,” states Hood, a long time teacher at Central Oregon Community College who holds a Masters in Nutrition from Oregon State University. “Hopefully, people can sift through all the info that is out there and determine what is best for them. Everyone’s nutritional needs are different.”

If you are concerned about your diet or have questions regarding nutrition, please join the Deschutes Public Library for an evening of questions and answers about current diet and nutrition trends. This program is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Liz Goodrich at (541) 617-7072 or lizg@dpls.lib.or.us.
