The High Desert Museum Explorers Pass is a new resource and we want to
make sure it is available to everyone in our library system. So for now,
the Desert Explorers Pass is first come, first served. The Desert
Explorers Pass is branch specific: people must be physically present at
the branch to check out the Pass.
Why are there only a limited amount of Desert Explorers Passes
available for checkout at my branch?
The High Desert Museum has generously donated ten passes to the
Deschutes Public Library. We distributed these passes throughout all six
Deschutes Public Library branches. The High Desert hopes to expand the
Desert Pass program as soon as next year by finding sponsors to help
purchase more passes for the Library.

No. Passes are available only to Deschutes County residents with
valid Deschutes Public Library cards.
