link to catalog The Princess Diary Books by Meg Cabot

Summary:
The Princess Diary books are about a five-foot-nine, flat-chested New York, freshman girl, named Mia Thermopolis. On top of failing her algebra class, getting hassled by her enemy and crushing over Lana’s boyfriend Josh, she finds out that she is the princess, and future ruler of the country of Genovia. Unlike in the movie, her father is still alive, and quite the eligible bachelor; she doesn’t get the luxury of deciding whether or not she wants the job and responsibilities of being a princess; and her grandmother is not only stubborn and bossy, but also kind of scary and mean as well. As the books go on, Mia, while being forced to attend princess lessons with grandmére everyday after school, gets older, her family gets bigger, her friends change, and she even gets a really hot senior boyfriend who takes her to prom.

Book Cover Raven's Gate by Anthony Horowitz

If you're looking for a teenage superhero story where the Good Guys always win, then don't read this book. Raven's Gate is a chilling tale of a boy named Matt, who starts his adventure when he is caught in the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the wrong people. Instead of going to jail, he is sent to the newly founded "Leaf Project", where he is relocated from a populated city in England, to a rural area not know by anyone. But is everything as it seem? Matt finds himself in strange and unnatural situations. The people around him are unlike anyone he has ever met. Even the cat looks at him with a suspicious eye...coincidence? Of course not. Read it.
