Deschutes Public Library

For 75 years the American Library Association has been awarding the Caldecott Medal to the most distinguished picture book of the year. Now it's your chance to "Celebrate 75: The What's, How's and Why's of the Caldecott" and to choose the one you think should win.

There will be discussions on line of the best reviewed books, workshops at each library about the criteria for the award, and a chance to vote in January for Deschutes County's Mock Caldecott. Visit the web page to see the first round of books being considered:
