Every March 25th since 2003, fans of J.R.R. Tolkien’s iconic tales from Middle-earth, including The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, have gathered together to celebrate Tolkien Reading Day. Published 75 years ago, The Hobbit follows the quest of a reluctant Bilbo Baggins as he tries to win a share of treasure guarded by the dragon Smaug. Along the way Bilbo meets dwarves, trolls, wizards, and giant spiders.
