The Deschutes Public Library and Second Sunday are pleased to present a joint reading by local writers Charles Finn and Mary Sojourner. The reading will take place on Sunday, May 9th, at the Bend Public Library in the Brooks Room at 2:00 p.m. An open mic will follow the reading, and this event is free and open to the public.
Mary Sojourner is the author of the novels Sisters of the Dream and Going Through Ghosts, a short story collection Delicate, an essay collection Bonelight: Ruin and Grace in the New Southwest, and two memoirs: Solace: Rituals of loss and Desire, and She Bets Her Life. She is a National Public Radio Commentator and teaches writing circles in Bend. She says that “Writing is her lifeline”, and that the Deschutes River is “The river that flows five minutes from her home and tethers her heart in the same way”.
