As part of the Celebrate Oregon Author Series, the Deschutes Public Library System is proud to present an afternoon with Portland author Brian Doyle. The reading will be held on October 10th at 4:00 p.m. in the Brooks Room of the Bend Public Library. This event is free and open to the public.
Brian Doyle’s book “The Grail” chronicles a year spent at Lange Winery, located in the hills of Dundee, Oregon in the Willamette Valley. Doyle follows Jesse Lange, son of Lange Winery founder
Brian Doyle’s books have four times been finalists for the Oregon Book Award. He is the editor of Portland Magazine at the University of Portland, and the author of nine books. His work has appeared in The Best American Essays, and in Atlantic Monthly, American Scholar, Harper’s, Gourmet, Orion, Sydney Morning Herald, and the Times of London.
