Local Singer/Songwriter David Bowers Plays at the Sunriver Branch

Come enjoy the music of local singer/songwriter David Bowers at the Sunriver Area Public Library on May 17, 2007 at 6:00 pm. Refreshments will be served and this program is free and open to the public.

Raised and still based in the sagebrush steppe country of the Pacific Northwest, David Bowers' music distills the essence of the landscape that nurtured him. With influences ranging widely from bluegrass, folk, and indie-rock, Bowers weaves across genres, terming himself a "visceral folkie." Bowers was voted "Favorite Local Musician" of 2006 by the readers of Bend Living Magazine, and Jeff Trainor, of The Source Weekly says Bowers is, "Once of the very finest among Bend's songwriters and acoustic guitarists...a warmly rootsy, Oregon-grown aesthetic and enthralling stage presence."
