Teen Summer Reading goes online! To get started with this year’s program, register for an account with the Summer Reader website.

Once you set up your account, track the minutes you spend reading. We’re encouraging teens to be “24/7 Readers” so when you’ve logged 168 minutes, which is the equivalent of reading for 24 minutes every day for a week, the website will let you know you’ve earned your prize – your choice of a free book and some great treat coupons that you pick up from your local branch of the library.

Last Week's Answer: Corundum

Week 6 – Human Biology

Question: What is the most common element in the human body?

For every 24/7 you read you’ll be entered in to our grand prize drawing for a tablet computer (make and model TBD, but it will be SHINY!) The more you read and listen to books this summer the more chances you have to win.

There is also a fun science trivia game happening at each branch; for 9 weeks beginning on June 14 we will post a trivia question in our libraries and on the summer reader website. Come visit us to enter your trivia answer! Each week we’ll draw a winner from all correct answers and they will be able to choose another free book.
